For the second year in a row, Southwire announces its recognition as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces 2025. This annual distinction, given by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group, celebrates companies that prioritize elements which create a great working environment, including corporate culture and values, work life balance, and career opportunities. This is one of several recognitions Southwire has received from Newsweek in 2025, including America’s Greatest Workplace for Women.

“Southwire is celebrating 75 years as an industry leader, and our success and longevity is the result of our exceptional team,” said Rich Stinson, Southwire’s President and CEO. “We want to be an extraordinary place to work, and receiving this recognition two years in a row is a testament to our progress. It’s an exciting time to be in the electrical industry, and we’re committed to sustainable growth that keeps people at the core.”

The America’s Greatest Workplace ranking is based on 400,000 employee interviews and 4.9 million comprehensive company reviews, making it one of America’s largest independent employee studies. HR professionals helped determine the most important drivers of employee satisfaction for 2025, and survey participants were asked to provide additional factors they deem important. Each honoree on this year’s ranking was evaluated by respondents who are familiar with the company as an employer.

“For me, what stands out about this ranking is its authenticity – we’ve been evaluated by team members and others that are familiar with the work experience at our company – these are the people for whom we create the programs and initiatives that build a strong, safe and welcoming work environment,” said Fernando Esquivel, Southwire’s Executive Vice President and Chief People and Culture Officer. “Being named as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces means we’ve done some things right, and it’s an inspiration to continue our efforts into the future.”

As the company lives out its values of empowerment, trust, consistency and inclusion, Southwire continues to invest in meaningful development programs to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.

Overall, Southwire and the other awardees were evaluated against at least 12 different criteria that help create a strong and desirable working environment, including mental wellbeing, training and career progression, compensation and benefits, and job security.

“Companies that emphasize building a strong workplace environment see higher levels of employee engagement,” said Newsweek Editor-in-Chief Jennifer H. Cunningham. “And with higher employee engagement comes a range of benefits. That’s why Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group are partnering for the third-annual ranking of America’s Greatest Workplaces, recognizing the companies where employee engagement comes naturally.”
